Privacy policy
How we handle your personal data. Last updated 16 September 2026.
Who we are
SA Global Education (“SA Global”, “we”, “us”) is an international education consultancy. We operate from Bowater Avenue, Birmingham, England, and from offices in Pakistan, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, and Business City Plaza, Main Bosan Road, Multan.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, SA Global Education is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, our advertising and our counselling services.
For any data protection question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@saglobal.org or write to us at the Birmingham address above.
What personal data we collect
Information you give us. When you complete an enquiry form, submit a lead form on social media, message us, or begin working with a counsellor, we collect your name, date of birth, email address, telephone number, city and country, nationality, academic qualifications and grades, English language test status, preferred study destination and course, funding position, and anything else you choose to tell us.
Course and scholarship finders. The likely-eligibility check in our course finder and scholarship finder runs in your browser. Your answers (such as your level of study, qualification, grades, English test score and budget) and your shortlist are saved only on your device, and you can clear them at any time with the Clear option in the finder. We receive your answers only if you send us an enquiry from a finder, together with the courses or scholarships you asked about, so that your counsellor can advise you.
Application data. Where you instruct us to apply on your behalf we also handle passport details, academic transcripts and certificates, references, personal statements, financial evidence, and visa documentation.
Technical and usage data. When you browse this site we collect IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referring source, and the identifiers stored in cookies and similar technologies.
Advertising data. If you reach us through an advertisement, we receive campaign, ad set and creative identifiers, and, where the platform provides it, the interaction that brought you to us. Where you submit a lead form hosted on Meta's platforms, Meta passes us the answers you gave.
We do not ask for special category data (health, religion, political opinion, sexual orientation) and ask that you do not send it to us. Where an institution requires disability or health information to arrange support, we collect it only with your explicit consent.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To respond to your enquiry and provide consultancy services: on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and performance of that contract.
To prepare and submit applications to universities, pathway providers and visa authorities on your instruction: contract.
To send you information about courses, intakes, deadlines, scholarships and events: consent, which you may withdraw at any time, or soft opt-in where you have already enquired about similar services.
To measure and improve the website: consent, given through the cookie banner.
To advertise our services, including measuring which campaigns produce enquiries and showing ads to people similar to our existing enquirers: consent for the cookies and tracking involved, and our legitimate interest in promoting the business.
To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations: legal obligation.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are always active; analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them through the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary: session handling and recording your cookie preference. No consent required.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (property G-ZS6C4W9KR2), which measures pages viewed, sessions, traffic sources and conversions. IP addresses are truncated before storage.
Advertising: the Meta Pixel, which records visits and actions on this site and links them to a Facebook or Instagram account where one exists, and Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags.
You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site will continue to work without them.
Advertising, Meta and measurement
We advertise on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and on Google. This section explains what that involves, as those platforms require of advertisers.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API. The Meta Pixel is a piece of code on this website that reports page views and actions, such as submitting the enquiry form, back to Meta. We also use Meta's Conversions API, which sends the same events to Meta from our own systems rather than from your browser. Where an event is sent this way it may include hashed identifiers such as your email address or telephone number, used only to match the event to an account. Meta and SA Global Education act as independent controllers for this data; Meta's own handling is governed by its Data Policy.
Custom and Lookalike Audiences. We create audiences of people who have visited this website, engaged with our Instagram or Facebook content, or given us their contact details, so that we can show them relevant advertising. Contact details uploaded for this purpose are hashed before they leave our systems. We also ask Meta to build lookalike audiences: people with similar characteristics to our existing enquirers. Nobody's individual details are disclosed to us through this process, and we do not sell or rent our audience lists.
Meta Lead Ads. Where you complete an instant form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects your answers and passes them to us. We then hold and use them exactly as we would an enquiry made through this website, and the privacy notice attached to that form links back to this policy.
Google. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. Google may use cookies to show our advertising on sites across its network. You can control this through Google's Ads Settings.
Opting out. You can decline advertising cookies through our cookie banner. Separately, you can adjust what advertising you see in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, in Google's Ads Settings, and through the Your Online Choices tool at youronlinechoices.com. Opting out stops personalised advertising; it does not stop you seeing advertising altogether.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Who we share your data with
Universities, colleges and pathway providers. Where you instruct us to apply, we share the information the institution requires to assess your application. We work with direct partners and through the networks and portals INTO, Shorelight, OIEG, Navitas, Kaplan, GUS, UCAS and Common App.
Visa and government authorities, where an application requires it.
Service providers acting on our instructions: EmailJS, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox; Supabase, which stores enquiries sent from our course and scholarship finders on servers in London; our email and document storage providers; and our website host.
Advertising and analytics platforms: Meta Platforms and Google, as described above.
Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required to disclose by law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
We operate in both the United Kingdom and Pakistan, and work with institutions worldwide, so your data will be transferred outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.
Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguard by emailing info@saglobal.org.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for up to three years from your last contact with us, so that we can help you across more than one admissions cycle.
Records relating to a completed application are kept for six years, where required for legal, accounting or regulatory purposes.
Marketing consent records are kept for as long as the consent is active, and for two years after it is withdrawn, as evidence that the withdrawal was actioned.
Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the retention settings on the relevant platform, typically no more than 14 months for Google Analytics and 180 days for Meta website custom audiences.
Keeping your data secure
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and restrict access to your file to the counsellors and administrators who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office where a breach requires it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed about how we use your data; to access a copy of it; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have it erased in certain circumstances; to restrict or object to its processing, including objecting to direct marketing at any time; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@saglobal.org. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, and we may ask you to verify your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would prefer the chance to resolve it with you first.
Children
Our services are aimed at people aged 16 and over. Where an applicant is under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian is involved and, where consent is our lawful basis, that they give it on the applicant's behalf. We do not knowingly market to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy periodically and when our processing changes. This version was published on 16 September 2026. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you directly.
